HUD to collaborate with Terner Housing Innovation Labs, Announces event series on the impact of technology on the housing field
HUD Terner Housing Innovation Labs introduces event series exploring the transformative influence of technology in the housing industry.

Washington- Secretary Marcia L. Fudge announced a new partnership between the Department of Housing and Urban Development and Terner Housing Innovation Labs to emphasize the implications of new technologies for housing supply, access, and affordability during last Friday’s kickoff ceremony for the Innovative Housing Showcase.
HUD and Terner Labs will call leaders from the researchers, housing experts, technologists, entrepreneurs, and others and ask them to explore technological advances at the forefront of the housing industry. The series will throw light on emerging technological innovations and the opportunities to advance HUD’s mission to create sustainable and affordable homes for all.
Besides this, it will also identify the challenges of using new technologies and how public and private leaders can work to accelerate progress and reduce risks.
Solomon Greene said, “HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase spotlights promising technological advances in building construction. This event series will complement the Showcase by examining the impacts of technology on other facets of the housing market.”
All the events mentioned in the series will take place next year and in locations across the country.
