May 15, 2023

A new funding opportunity for higher education institutions or non-profit entities has been announced by the Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R). The funds will be used to train and support higher education institutions to conduct research by applying community-engaged methods and address homelessness.

Community-engaged research is engaging the community such as community groups or people who have had the first-hand experience of doing the research. The research will generate awareness about homelessness, contribute to programs addressing homelessness, and elevate the insights of people with experience.

Nearly $1 Million in funding is available to carry out the research for the same.
