Washington- Marcia L Fudge went to Takamatsu to attend the G7 Sustainable Urban Ministers meeting on July 8th and July 9th. The Secretary met with the global leaders over there who looked after housing, city planning, and infrastructure. The best practices for creating sustainable urban communities were discussed in the meeting.

The G7 meeting commenced on Saturday, July 8th with an opening session followed by other sessions. The group was addressed by Secretary Fudge and HUD Deputy Assistant Secretary, Dr. Calvin Johnson.

HUD shared information about the green and resilient retrofit program and how committed the Biden-Harris administration is to ensuring that housing is incorporated into infrastructure. In addition to this, HUD also shared details about the Technical Assistance Program and also shared how funding and programs are made accessible to Americans.
