Washington- The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary, Marcia L. Fudge attended the Rainbow PUSH convention Opening Forum on July 15, 2023, in Chicago. The Rainbow Push Coalition is an international human and civil rights organization empowering minority groups via issue orientation, grassroots advocacy, and connections between the greater community. The opening remarks at the annual Rainbow PUSH Convention were made by Fudge where speakers and attendees paid tribute to founder Rev. Jesse Jackson and the impactful work done by the organization.

The remarks during the opening ceremony were regarding the progress of the minority communities since the Fair Housing Act was passed. Marcia L. Fudge emphasized the commitment of the Biden-Harris administration to end housing discrimination and address the issue of homelessness in Black and Brown Communities with urgency.
