Complimentary Free School Meals For Kids
Complimentary Free School Meals For Kids is an initiative to help you provide nutritious food for your children at educational institutions, childcare facilities, and other extracurricular programs.
Children’s Eligibility for School Meal Programs Initiatives
Your children become automatically eligible for meals or milk if:
- You are eligible to receive SNAP assistance, TANF (welfare), or the food distribution program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR).
- They are foster kids under the responsibility of a foster care agency.
- The kids enrolled in Head Start.
Your children are also eligible if your household income falls within the Federal Income Eligibility Guidelines based on Federal poverty guidelines.
- Your children are eligible for free meals if your income is up to 130 percent of the poverty level.
- Also, your children are eligible for reduced-price meals if your income is up to 185 percent of the poverty level.
The Summer Food Service Program is meant for all kids and teenagers aged 18 and below at various locations nationwide. Here, you can locate a site near you.
