The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program is there to assist people who have low income and need assistance in buying their first home.

Eligibility for Housing Choice Voucher

You must possess the following requirements to become eligible for the Housing Choice Voucher program.

You must be a first-time home buyer.
You should fulfill the minimum income requirement fixed by the local Public Housing Authority (PHA).
One adult family member who is working full time and for at least one year.
Completion of housing counseling program and homeownership.
