Prepare Yourself and Your Family
Verify your state ID or driver’s license. It should be the latest and be available at the time. The assistance programs and shelters often have strict ID requirements. You can not store your belongings because shelters have limits on how much you can bring along with you.
Speak to your local post office and arrange for the mail to be delivered somewhere else. There are many programs that have special services for the homeless population. Consequently, there is a likelihood that you can get a free PO box or get a general delivery service.
While packing bags for yourself and your family, make sure to keep all your important documents and needed medications with you.
