Change your Address
If you are moving or want to rent a post office box, learn how to change your address so that you continue to get your mail or reserve a box at your local post office
How to Change Address with the Postal Service?
There are two options to let the post office know that you are going to change your address or want to forward your mail to a new location.
Visit USPS.com/move– It is the fastest and easiest way to change your address online. You have to pay $1.10 charges via credit card or debit card and a valid email address. It is an identity verification fee to prevent fraud and make sure that you are the one making the change. Consequently, it eliminates the need to pay a separate company to change the address online.
Visit the local post office– You can visit the local post office and request the mover’s guide packet. The packet will contain PS form 3575. You need to fill out this form and give it to a postal worker or drop it into the letter mail inside the post office. Within five business days, you’ll get the confirmation letter at your new address.
