Jennifer Riley Collins To Join HUD as Regional Administrator
HUD has announced the appointment of Jennifer Riley Collins as Regional Administrator for the Southeast serving areas.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced the appointment of Jennifer Riley Collins as Regional Administrator for the Southeast serving Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Puerto Rico, Tennessee, and the Virgin Islands.
Riley Collins will serve as HUD’s Liaison to Mayors, elected representatives, state and local officials, congressional delegations, and customers as a Regional Administrator. Besides this, she will also be looking after the HUD programs and services and will evaluate their efficiency and effectiveness.
HUD Assistant Deputy Secretary Michele Perez said, “Ms. Riley Collins comes to HUD with a long and admirable record of service with the United States Army, where she honorably and with distinction served for 32 years. Ms. Riley Collins has a strong background in strategic planning and critical thinking to help organizations advocate for positive and impactful change”.
Region IV is set to benefit greatly from the arrival of Ms. Riley Collins, whose extensive experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm as a community leader align perfectly with the agency’s goals and Secretary Fudge’s vision. Collins is excited to collaborate with HUD and the Biden/Harris Administration, driven by her belief that a home is fundamental to providing equitable access to the opportunities America offers. Her focus is on ensuring that underserved communities are not only sustained but also resilient.
Riley Collins said, “I am honored to serve people by serving this nation. I look forward to helping HUD perform its mission and to implementing Secretary Fudge’s vision throughout the region”.
Ms Riley Collins has served as the Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Adviser to the Federal co-chair at the Delta Regional Authority. She used to see fiscal and operational matters and ensured compliance with laws and regulations along with the integration of White House Initiatives with DRA Programs.
She is a member of several organizations such as the Mississippi Women’s Lawyers Association, the Mississippi Bar Association, the Federation of Democratic Women, and many others. Besides this, she is also an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
She has completed her graduation from Central Texas College, and MS College School of Law.
