PIH And CPD To Make Investments In Knoxville
HUD is transforming Knoxville’s Tennessee Western Heights and Beaumont Communities and creating new apartments.

HUD’s Public and Indian Housing Choice Neighborhoods and Community Planning and Development’s Home Partnership (HOME) Program are transforming Knoxville’s Tennessee Western Heights and Beaumont Communities. With this investment, there will be 196 units of affordable housing in Knoxville. Besides this, there will be high-quality, energy-efficient mixed-income apartments along with an anchor building and a world-class destination park. On August 3, a groundbreaking event took place, marking a $40 million HUD collaboration with the City of Knoxville and Knoxville’s Community Development Corporation. The redevelopment plan has garnered over $220 million in combined public and private funding.
